It’s Summertime! This may come as quite the shock, because apparently I have the minority opinion, but I do not enjoy Summer. It’s way too hot, I don’t love summer activities, I have long hair that gets me all sweaty, I can’t wear a lot of layers, the list goes on and on. HOWEVER, there is one thing I do like about summer…Nautical Decor! I adore the different shades of blues, greens and white. I’ve never had the time, patience or money to decorate my house for the season but living right next to the beach has me inspired to at least add a little bit of summer and nautical decor into my home for the next few months. Some of my favorite blogs have also been embracing this style, and I’m here to share the best of the best. I hope this inspires you too & of course, these are all DIY Nautical Decor projects!
This wreath made by Abby is the perfect touch of summertime and the sea without overdoing it. In fact, it can be added to a beachy themed home year round. The best part? It’s simple to make and can be customized to your taste!
Chelsea’s simple anchor printable can be framed and put up anywhere in your home! I love how she combined that simple nautical symbol with the watercolor print as well. Paired with the three glass floats, it’s the perfect touch of the beach!
How could I forget Brittany’s simple Anchor wall art?! The subtle pattern contrast makes for a piece that’s not too jarring, easy on the eyes and just a cool as the ocean breeze.
This simple decor is awesome! Not only is it the perfect combination of nautical colors…it’s also a thrift store makeover! Amanda took what was once a silly fishy food tray and transformed it into beachy decor.
Thanks to Sarah, we know that a DIY Serving Tray is the perfect addition to your home decor if you have children. If you’re looking to add that extra coastal theme, Courtney’s nautical upcycle is a great way to do it!
While these napkins aren’t so literally “beach”, they certainly scream nautical to me! Amy once again created a breathtaking (and simple) diy home decor project, just colorful enough to add a small hint of summer style.
What is your favorite summertime decor? Are you also crushing on the nautical trend?
